life:
In an age when a raucous juggernaut of TV shows, books, websites, blogs, magazines, and “star chefs” have turned cooking into a just another unappetizing, high-stakes competition — rather than celebrating it as one of life’s elemental pleasures — it’s gratifying to occasionally slow down, take a breath, and recall some of the clever devices that, over the years, have quietly furthered the culinary arts … or at least tried to.

"I find it sad and disturbing that some people are using the recent SM shooting incident as an argument against homosexuality. Gay or straight, everyone who has false notions about love can kill for it. The incident could have happened to a straight couple. Lax mall security and perhaps, poor guidance for the victims by their families are the issues behind the incident, NOT homosexuality. Lax security and poor guidance can be remedied, but homosexuality cannot, simply because there’s nothing wrong with it in the first place."
"Someday, somewhere - anywhere, unfailingly, you’ll find yourself, and that, and only that, can be the happiest or bitterest hour of your life"
